Our client is one of the world's largest consumer goods firms with a strong supply chain department located in the Delaware Valley. This newly created position is driven by corporate growth and will involve the management of a team of 5-7 buyers, located both here in the region and in any of 4 divisional plants in the US This is a job for a Manager, not a Senior Buyer with a title, as you will have full hire/fire/review responsibilities for your procurement team. Our client needs someone who can manage and motivate an energetic team of buyers, many of whom have joined the organization within the last 2 years. Our client is seeking 10+ years of purchasing and procurement experience with at least 3 years of direct managerial duties. You should come from a manufacturing environment and be used to working in a sophisticated lean manufacturing environment. Our client requires a Bachelor’s degree for this role.

We have been retained to identify candidates for this newly created job in our client's executive team. As a growing regional foods distribution firm, they are seeking to broaden and expand their operations strength. Reporting to the COO, this position will have operational authority over 2 local facilities and will free the COO up for more strategic projects. You will deal with both in-house warehousing/distribution centers as well as their fleet of trucks to insure continuous process improvements and optimization.
