As a multi-plant manufacturer of consumer products, lean manufacturing and six -sigma projects are key to their future success. This position will have strong career growth attached to it. This will be the first person hired into what will eventually be a multi-plant Continuous process Improvement initiative. You will begin by focusing on improvements at the Lancaster facility. In the short term, you will add local staff to support this effort and, over time, manage staff at other facilities. The emphasis of this job will be on modeling, design of experiments and statistically based six-sigma projects. You will report to a corporate executive (an engineer) and will have full managerial support. Our client is seeking 5+ years of continuous process improvements and lean experience in a manufacturing environment. A Black Belt is essential. You should be promotable to a managerial role and should come to the job with the ability to work with peers in all disciplines throughout the organization.

Your duties will require you to work closely with both electrical and mechanical designers, coordinate effectively with customers, and communicate well with Plant Managers. The Project Engineer will be well positioned to grow into a senior engineering role as the group expands in the next 5 years. BSEE/BSME is required with 3+ years of experience in electronics and micro-processor based automation. Excellent communication and engineering skills are expected in each candidate all candidates.
